New direction for my Wix site. (Plus I'm now posting on FurAffinity)
And by new direction, I mean, ah, a direction in general. Hehe.
Waffley's Craft Corner will feature pictures of my customized vinyls, my clay creations and all sorts of surprises. In addition, a lot of these pictures have never been posted publically before!
The Craft Corner is a continuing project, and shall be updated on a fairly regular basis.
I am also now apart of FurAffinity. I am posting select artwork there as a way to reach out to new communities. And the Furry community is a pretty big one.

Meeting Fozzie
From May 15th to June 2nd, The Dart Gallery in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia exhibited a large number of Muppet inspired art pieces, ranging from paintings to sculptures, in celebration of Jim Henson's tragic passing 25 years ago.
The highlight of the display, for me, were the Muppets puppets on loan from Terry Angus, a Muppeteer who's resume literally reads off like a documentation my childhood.
To be in front of Fozzie Bear, Gobo and Red Fraggle, Gonzo, and Animal, was such a strange feeling. I honestly felt like Fozzie was going to start talking at any moment.
Now, these were not the actual puppets from their respective series. Apparently, those puppets fell apart ages ago due to the materials they were comprised of falling apart from wear. However, Fozzie and the Fraggles were constructed from the same design specs as were used in the their respective shows. Gonzo and Animal however were from the Master Replica collection.
All in all, I hope this isn't my last encounter of the Muppet kind.

The Monsters Forty Years In The Future
This is definitely not the same Surfing Waffle you're familiar with. (Well, familiar with if you've been following me for any length of time.) I wanted to try to convey a story with this piece. Here we see Waffle, clearly aged and haven gone through a heck of a lot over the years, uses a rusted Mr.Sawblades-For-Hands in his chainsaw form, to defend two children from shadowy assailants in an old wood cabin.
I also erased the shadow from the girl's eye to try to infer a reason why the monsters may want to risk getting chainsawed.
Oh, and yeah, this piece was inspired by Lone Wolf and Cub.

CON REPORT; NerdCon 2015
May 23rd was the date of the second ever NerdCon, and my second ever convention table, at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre in Truro. If you recall, my first convention table was AubCon at the Auburn Drive High School on April 26th of last year.
There were many other vendors at the convention. Some familiar faces. Not as many cosplayers as I expected but they were all pretty dang awesome ones.
