A redirection for this blog
WaffleAfterHours is the brand name of the many universes I have created over the past twenty some odd years. I am presently a student of digital animation, but my talents seem routed in the still image.
I don't pride myself in much but I pride myself in my original character designs and my ability to create new character concepts in a relatively quick amount of time.
For better or worse, I've spent a lot of my time over the last few years creating videos for YouTube. My time on YouTube has been a long, strange, and mostly stupid tale but considering that time has giving me the ability to edit videos fairly well, I can't say I regret it.
This blog will no longer feature just embed videos from Blip.tv and Youtube. In an effort to showcase all of my present abilities, I will be uploading more art related content, such as animations, storyboards, character concepts and my original webcomic series currently in production, "The Surfing Waffle".
Unless otherwise specified (like really obviously stuff like Ninja Turtle fan art, 'cause I'm a Ninja Turtle fanboy) everything you see here is originally created by me. All right reserved, copyright, all that good stuff. I like drawing fan art, but my real passion in life has and always been creating new and original characters. I genuinely hope that you all enjoy the stuff I upload, as the newest comic entries will now debut here first before Storm Artists and DeviantArt.

I had my own website for awhile under the name "thesurfingwaffle" back in 2006. Now I don't :(
Just as well. I didn't have the same skill set as I do now back then. :)

Another Humble Sprite Comic
This is the second of the Sprite comic. I intend to distinguish the two moreso for the next one.
Those of you who have followed me on my YouTube will get the joke ;P
A Humble Sprite Comic
This was originally meant to poke fun at the sprite comics on Storm artists for looking the same as the last one.
Then I thought the idea could work better as a "commentary" comic. Two different opinions on any given subject.

A book cover concept
One of the final tasks we had in the first semester of Digital Illustration was to make a book cover. We had free reign to make whatever we wanted. I choose to make a cover for the still-in-progress comic series of The Surfing Waffle.
Originally envisioned as nine volumes, since then the series' size has been a consideration but anyways. I remember the instructor found the bottom half more "well done" than the top half.

Vinylized
One thing I've enjoyed doing for awhile now is taking the Doodle Budz blank vinyl toys, made by Creatology and sold at Michael's, and using them to start creating my rampant cast of characters into toy form. ;3
Expect more pictures and videos of my endeavors in designer toys soon.

An idea of balance
From my Digital Illustration class, the idea was to showcase balance. (I think, I can't remember.)
So, this shows the balance between work and play, and I guess the balance between old and young. Lots of ways I could describe it.

The Gladiator

One of our second year assignments was apart of two classes actually. We had to make a painting, one by acryllic, another digitally. Each of us were tasked with making these art pieces in the style of legendary painters from history. This digital version was a lot better than the acryllic version.
I admit the hand didn't turn out how I had hoped. But in terms of shading, colour and anatomy (well, El Greco anatomy), I feel that this is the best piece of art I've ever made.
